Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer for our client, globally renowned telecommunication company to drive the development of robust data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data architecture, ETL processes, and cloud technologies to help us harness the power of data effectively.

Location: Bengaluru, India

Work Mode: Work from anywhere

Mode of interview: A coding assignment followed by one technical round of interview.

What You’ll Do:

• Ingest data from diverse sources including APIs, logs, flat files, and relational/non-relational databases.

• Design and develop REST-based API client-server solutions, including secure authentication      and data ingestion.

• Administer and manage both RDBMS and NoSQL databases within a unified data and analytics      environment.

• Convert, process, and transform multiple data formats such as CSV, JSON, Parquet, and XML using      appropriate data tools.

• Leverage Python for data processing, analytics, and ETL workflows.

• Deploy, version control, and maintain scripts using Git repositories and CI pipelines.

• Build and support data solutions within the AWS cloud ecosystem.

• Work within Agile/SCRUM teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

• Keep up to date with emerging data engineering and analytics technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Python-based ETL or data engineering roles.

• Strong experience with REST API development, including authentication and data ingestion.

• Proven expertise in ingesting data from APIs, logs, flat files, and databases.

• Experience administering and working with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

• Hands-on experience transforming data across formats such as CSV, JSON, Parquet, and XML.

• Familiarity with CI practices and deploying code via Git repositories.

• Solid experience working with the AWS suite of services.

• Comfortable working in Agile/SCRUM environments with cross-functional teams.
